When is Rath Yatra 2020 ? 

In 2020, Jagannath Rath Yatra will be scheduled to be held on June 23, 2020 at Puri in the state of ODISHA, This is the time of the Corona Virus Pandemic Period. At the time of Coronavirus pandemic all states of India now Lock down. Odisha state is one of them state which is now locked down.



The Rath Yatra one of the most famous festivals of the Hindu festival. It is also known as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra’s Car Festival.

The chariot ride is held at PURI in the Odisha state of India This festival is celebrated every year on the second day (June) of the Shukla Pakhya of the month of Ashada. The festival is held at Puri Bada Danda


Every year three chariots of Lord Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra are newly built. The three chariots have three names, the chariot name of Lord Jagannath is Nandigosha or Garudawaja or Kapiladhwaja, the chariot name of Lord Balabhadra is Taladwaja. The chariot name of Goddess Subhadra is Darpadalana


On the day of the Rath Yatra, Lord Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra visit the Maausi Maa Temple. There Lord Sri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra are served Poda Pitha.


Lord Sri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra stay there for seven days and they return to their own temple after seven days later by procession.
