In the year of 2020 Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, Lord Balabhadra's devotees in Odisha , India and all worlds faces many problems for Rathyatra during Covid-19 Pandemic period.

This rath yatra will be seen as a historic chariot ride in the history of the Shree Mandir. The Hon’ble Supreme Court refused to allow the rathyatra to take place and later received a green signal from the Supreme Court to have the rathyatra. In addition, the procession was held without devotees. The procession of the Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra's was completed only by the Sebayata of the temple.

First of all , three to four days ago, the Supreme Court of India announced that the rath yatra would not be allowed in Puri, ODISHA. However, some petitions were filed by the Shree Mandir administration two days before the procession. The day before, the Supreme Court reviewed the appeal and agreed. The procession will be held in Puri without devotees. 

Because if it hadn’t been for the rath yatra this year, the rath yatra would not have been possible for the next 12 years.

In addition, there were green signals from both the central and odisha state governments to hold rathyatras in Puri. With this in mind, the Puri Shree Mandir administration and the district administration and the police administration and the health department have properly fullfilled their responsibilities to ensure that the rathyatra in Puri is completed properly.


Finally, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, thanked the Puri District Administration, Police Administration, Health Department and all the devotees.
